Unexpected adventures are best

Last weekend a few of my girlfriends and I decided to head out to a nice calm night perusing a few of the local art galleries.  Once a month the galleries all host receptions and feature different artists from Nashville as well as other places in the south.  The galleries have free wine and refreshments and it is a really fun time.

As we were walking back to our car we heard loud noises coming from Bridgestone.  We realized that the Monster Truck Rally was happening at that very moment.  We decided that it would be a great end to our classy and fabulous night and managed to get tickets for $5.

I don't think any of us expected what we got that night.  There was a giant dinosaur car eating the other cars, cars shooting flames, and lots of really loud engine revving.  We were sitting up in the nosebleed section and it was still so loud that all the (more prepared) children were wearing noise cancelling headphones.  We were definitely envious of them.

Overall it was a fun experience, but one I can check of my bucket list and live my life without experiencing again.

I feel like I really got my Tennessee resident redneck card this night.  The people watching alone was worth the $5 we paid for our ticket.

Etsy Store Now Opened

This has been a long time coming but my sister and I have opened a little Etsy shop to sell our homemade wreaths, small furnishings, home decor and the like.  It has been opened for a while with no product, but we have officially added a few things!  This has been something we have talked about for a long time now and finally decided, "Why the heck not?!" The store is called TwoCraftySeesters and it can be found here.

I have made more of the Patriotic Wreaths that I wrote about here.    We have mostly small home decor items including pillows and wreaths/ door hangings.  I will hopefully be listing small furniture that I have refinished as soon as I work out all the shipping information!  Check it out and get a wreath or pillow (or two) of your very own!

Here is a direct link to a few of the items that we have listed so far!

'Tis the Season

The Christmas Season was a busy one for me this year.  I spent most of my two week vacation traveling from Nashville to Gainesville to Athens and back again.  It all started with Jacob's graduation from Georgia Southern.  The rest of the time was full of lots of baby snugglin', some cookie makin' and some good old fashion best friend lovin'!  It was just what I needed to recharge my batteries and start the second half of our school year.  Here's to a happy and fun-filled 2014!
